FAQ

What's the difference between counseling, yoga therapy, and TCTSY?

Yoga therapy differs from mental health counseling in that it is more prescriptive than mental health counseling. While there may be some resources offered through counseling, yoga therapy provides a specialized and tailored practice which individuals can incorporate into their daily lives. TCTSY is a body-based approach which is choice-based rather than prescriptive, and with limited discussion and processing.

Which service is right for me?

If you are looking to incorporate practices into your daily life or live outside of Vermont, yoga therapy may be right for you. Yoga therapy can provide resources for daily symptom management for physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental wellbeing. For developing a deeper understanding of self, relational dynamics, developmental history, and understanding mental health disorders counseling may a better fit.

What is the cost? Do you accept insurance?

I am able to accept insurance from VT Medicaid, BCBS, and MVP. Self-pay rates for mental health counseling and yoga therapy are $100/hour. Please reach out for private yoga lesson rates.

Do you provide telehealth or in-person?

I provide telehealth and limited in-person sessions.
